Andrew Augustus Nana Akwasi, the Ashanti Regional Chair of the NDC, has responded to Bernard Antwi Boasiako, aka Wontumi, the Ashanti Regional Chair of the NPP, for saying that Wontumi interfered in the NDC regional election that just ended.
On Sunday, November 13, more than 1,400 NDC delegates met at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium to vote for new leaders to run the party.
In a radio interview on November 16, 2022, Wontumi said that he had “infiltrated” the current NDC leaders. Nana Akwasi did not take this claim lightly.
In response, Nana Akwasi said that Wontumi was a “drunk comedian who brags a lot.”
He told this website that he hoped “the new executives will do twice as much work in 2020,” which is why the ruling party lost the New Edubiase seat and the NDC made more gains in the Ashanti region.
