Some days before the World Cup started, FIFA made an official announcement that no alcoholic beverage would be sold at all the eight stadiums that will host all the matches.
“Following discussions between host country authorities and FIFA, a decision has been made to focus the sale of alcoholic beverages on the FIFA Fan Festival, other fan destinations, and licensed venues, removing sales points of beer from Qatar’s FIFA World Cup 2022 stadium perimeter,” said the FIFA statement.
A picture, that we are yet to confirm was taken at Qatar, has been trending on social media. And the main reason why it is trending is that some spectators can smuggle Heineken drinks disguised with Pepsi branding into Qatar. This is because there are some spectators who possibly cannot stay a day or more without alcohol. See the photos.
