Speaking of holidays in Ghana, there are thirteen(13) statutory public holidays.

Holidays are days set aside by custom or by law on which normal activities, especially business or work including school, are suspended or reduced. Generally, holidays are intended to allow individuals to celebrate or commemorate an event or tradition of cultural or religious significance. People usually visit various tourist sites to enjoy their day.

The Farmers day is a day used to remember the toil and hard work of Ghanaian farmers. It is celebrated on the first Friday of every December. It will be celebrated on Friday, 2nd December this year.

This is a public holiday which is celebrated not only in Ghana but most parts of the world. It is celebrated on 26th December each year.

#3. Christmas Day

This is a celebrated by Christians to remember the birth of Jesus Christ. It is celebrated on 25th December each year. This year’s Christmas day will happen on Sunday. For this reason, it will be celebrated on the next day which is 26th December, 2022.
