Channel Eligibility

You will need to make your account worthy enough to meet the YouTube Partners Program requirements.

To meet this requirement, you will need to have a minimum of at least 1000 subscribers and watch hours of about 4000 in the last 12 months.

AdSense Account

If you already have a Gmail account there, it is likely that you already have an AdSense account.

However, if you do not have one, you can do so by following the steps below.

  1. Go to: http://www.google.com/adsense/start
  2. Click on ‘get started.’
  3. Now enter the website URL where you would like the ads to show up.
  4. Input your email address
  5. You can also choose to receive customized help and performance suggestions from AdSense. It is advisable to choose yes on this option.
  6. Click on ‘save and continue.’
  7. Now log into your google account
  8. Select the country in which you are
  9. Look through the AdSense terms and conditions
  10. Click on ‘create an account.
  11. You will then be signed in to your new AdSense account.

Monetization Features

Each monetization channel comes with its requirements, and you will have to look through them.

Ad revenue: you will have to be over 18 years old and create content friendly to advertisers.
