Latest Worrying Update: Christian Atsu still can’t be found

The latest worrying update on Christian Atsu is that he still can’t be found, contrary to news that came in some 24 hours ago that he has been rescued from the rubbles after the earthquake that ravaged Turkey and Syria.

The update this morning has caused confusion on Twitter as people question the accuracy of the information made public earlier on by the GFA and CAF about the state of Christian Atsu.

This is not the update we want, but Christian Atsu’s agent says he has still not been able to get in touch with the player since he was “pulled from the wreckage” and no one, including club officials, seems to know where he is.

This new update, which indicates Christian Atsu has still not been found or pulled out, making everyone stressed.

But a Tweet from CAF at about 8 Hours GMT today did state that “We are reassured to hear that Ghana’s Christian Atsu is recovering in the hospital following the devastating earthquake”

The contradictions from the GFA, CAF, and news coming in from other reliable sources make it difficult to believe their earlier stories that the Ghanaian International, Christian Atsu, has been rescued.

Hatayspor officials cannot be contacted since yesterday, they gave the press information that Christian Atsu was rescued, but no updates have followed on his whereabouts or condition up to now.

The situation with Christian Atsu is becoming very serious. Some Ghanaians have called on President Nana Addo to wake up and do something.

Some Ghanaians have now indicated that until Christian Atsu himself comes out and does a video that he is okay, they will not believe any information out there again.

The story is not clear to me ….  The Media has it that, Christian Atsu has been found, but his agent, family, and Ambassador from Ghana to Turkey said they’ve not seen him.

In a related development, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has urged everyone to spare some thoughts and prayers for our brother Christian Atsu, his team’s director, the Ghanaian community, and the people of Turkey and Syria who are currently under the mercy of the wreckage of a devastating earthquake.
