Efforts by lawyers to secure bail for Koampa Razak Avoliya, the Suame NDC Youth Organizer, have been unsuccessful at the Asokwa Circuit Court.
Prosecutor ACP Kofi Blagodzie asked for more time to complete investigations, arguing that Avoliya’s release could cause chaos due to the serious nature of the alleged hate speech he made during a recent media interview.
The presiding judge, Fred Obikyere, agreed with the prosecution and denied the bail application despite the defense’s plea.
