UG School of Law Dismisses Several Students for Academic Incompetence

Ghanaeducation.org can confirm that the University of Ghana School of Law has dismissed more than 20 students for academic non-performance.

Ghanaeducation.org  has a list of withdrawn students with names and ID numbers, indicating that the students failed to meet the minimum performance required to maintain their studentship.

Four (4) regular law students were on the list, while 19 weekend students were admitted over the last two years to pursue the Postgraduate LLB Degree. Students who were dismissed weeks ago had the option to reapply to the school and go through the admissions process again.

Some of the withdrawn students are top officials from a variety of professional backgrounds, including wards of prominent politicians who did not meet the minimum requirements to remain in school.

The University of Ghana’s School of Law is the premier center for legal education in Ghana, and it continues to set the standard for preparing students for careers in the legal profession.

Students who have graduated from the University of Ghana School of Law apply to the Ghana School of Law Makola to study law with the aim or ambition of becoming a lawyer.
