Sad: NSS Personnels In Oti Region Lament Over Non Payment Of July Allowance

No Payment Of July NSS Allowance.
NSS which is mostly known as the National Service Scheme is working effortlessly to provide payment for all personnel who are serving their motherland with pure heart and patriotism. However, it is very sad to note that the National Service Personnel haven’t been paid their August Allowance. In the case of those personnel in the Oti Region, their case is even worse and there is no voice to listen to their cry.
About two weeks ago, the National Office of the National Service Scheme confirmed the payment of July Allowance. It is however shocking that those in the Volta and Oti Region did not receive their allowance. National Service personnel in the Oti and Volta Region were notified in the WhatsApp group that their payment would come the following week as a result of a few issues encountered at the Regional Level. Lo and behold on the 13th Day of September 2023, those in the Volta Region received their allowance without the personnel in the Oti Region.
This is very sad, currently, all National Service personnel across the country have received their July Allowance waiting to receive that of August. But the personnels in Oti Region do not know their fate as to when they are going to receive their July Allowance let alone talk about that of August.
Speaking to some of the personnel in the Oti Region, they said that they were told to expect their July Allowance by the 20th Of July 2023. It is rather unfortunate that some of them were still doing their duties at their various service centers despite they have not been paid.
There are a few questions that baffle our mind as to how payment could be made for all National Service Personnel across the country and that of Oti and Volta region will not be included; also why did those in the Volta Region get access to their July Allowance and yet there was no payment for those personnel in the Oti region?
National Service Personnel in the Oti Region deserve better.
