BBC Reporter in Gaza Faces Terrifying Moment as Rocket Lands During Live Broadcast

A BBC reporter in Gaza, Rushdi Abualouf, displayed remarkable bravery and resilience as he reported live from Khan Younis in southern Gaza amid ongoing hostilities between Israel and Hamas. During his live broadcast, viewers witnessed a harrowing incident when a rocket suddenly landed nearby, clearly leaving Abualouf startled and concerned.

Viewers praised the reporter for his dedication to bringing the news to the world despite the constant dangers he faced. Abualouf’s willingness to continue reporting from a war zone was seen as an act of courage and commitment to his profession.

The incident occurred as Abualouf discussed the increasingly dire situation in Gaza. A relief agency had recently reported a critical shortage of morphine and essential painkillers, adding to the already challenging conditions in the region.

Moments after the nearby explosion, Abualouf remained composed and said, “Yeah, it’s been intense air strikes tonight as well. This is the third or fourth one just close to the hospital. So another night of heavy bombing in southern Gaza, Khan Younis. This is the area where Israel asked 1.2 million people to come in. They [Israel] said it’s safer for you to be South. But as you can see, every night there are air strikes in this area.”
