SHS 1 students in double track schools will officially bring an end of the 2022/2023 academic year on Thursday, 30th November 2023 (next week).
They began the second semester of the 2022/2023 academic year on 18th September, 2023. They are currently the only batch to still be in school in the 2022/2023 academic year.
Students will go on vacation on Thursday, 18th September, 2023 and report to school on 8th March, 2024.

ACADEMIC CALENDAR FOR BASIC SCHOOLS
First Term
Schools will resume on 3rd October, 2023 and end on 22nd December, 2024. Students will then go on break from 23rd December, 2023 to 8th January, 2024.
Second Term
Second term will resume on 9th January, 2024 and end on 11th April, 2024. Students will then go on break from 12th April, 2024 to 29th April, 2024.
Third Term
The third term will start on 30th April, 2024 and end on 25th July, 2024. JHS 3 students are expected to write their BECE in July, 2024.

ACADEMIC CALENDAR FOR SHS – SINGLE TRACK
First Semester
SHS 1 – Students will be in school from 4th December, 2023 to 15th March, 2024. Vacation starts from 16th March, 2024 to 2nd May, 2024.
SHS 2. – Students will be in school from 1st November, 2023 to 5th March, 2024. Vacation starts from 5th March, 2024 to 2nd May, 2024
SHS 3 – Students will be in school from 1st November, 2023 to 5th March, 2024. Vacation starts from 5th March, 2024 to 2nd May, 2024.
NB: There is going to be a Christmas break from 21st December, 2023 to 2nd January, 2024.
Second Semester
All students will resume from 3rd May, 2024 to 28th August, 2024.
TRANSITIONAL ACADEMIC CALENDAR (DOUBLE TRACK)
First Semester
SHS 1 – SHS 1 students will begin the Academic year on 4th December, 2023 and end it on 5th March, 2024. Students will then go on break from 6th March, 2024 to 12th May, 2024.
SHS 2 – SHS 2 students to begin their academic year on 8th March, 2024 and end on 9th May, 2024 for first semester. They will then go on break from 10th May, 2024 to 11th July, 2024.

SHS 3 – Students will begin the year on 2nd January, 2024 and end on 28th March, 2024. Students will break from 29th March to 16th April, 2024.
