In a recent development surrounding the aftermath of the deadly Hamas attacks on October 7, the Israeli military has released CCTV footage, purportedly showing hostages being taken into Gaza’s largest hospital, al-Shifa. The military spokesperson claimed that one of the hostages, Corporal Noa Marciano, 19, was murdered inside the hospital after being initially taken there with minor injuries.
According to Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, IDF Chief Spokesperson, the footage presented at a news briefing on Sunday indicated that Noa Marciano was kidnapped to a safe house near Shifa. He explained that during IDF airstrikes, the Hamas terrorist holding Noa was killed, and she sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Tragically, she was later murdered by another Hamas terrorist inside Shifa hospital.
Hamas, however, denies these allegations and previously asserted that Marciano was killed in an Israeli airstrike on November 9. The authenticity of the video presented by the IDF has not been verified by the BBC.

In response to the video, the Hamas-run health ministry in Gaza stated it could not confirm the authenticity of the footage and blamed Israel for the deterioration of health services in Gaza.
The IDF released another video showing a tunnel 10m below ground, running 55m to a closed and reinforced door, presenting it as evidence that Hamas used the hospital complex for terrorist infrastructure. The US has also indicated intelligence suggesting Hamas using hospitals as command centers.
While Israel seeks to build a case and present evidence, international allies express concern about the impact on civilians. The death toll in Gaza, according to the Hamas-run health ministry, has reached 12,300, with over 2,000 feared buried under rubble.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu faces pressure from families of hostages, with protests urging the government to prioritize securing their release. Netanyahu remains steadfast in his mission, declaring three goals: destroying Hamas, returning hostages, and eliminating the threat from Gaza.
