The 2024 elections is almost here as most Ghanaians will be voting for a new president. In this context, I have stated 2 reasons why Dr. Bawumia’s NPP will win the 2024 elections.
Dr. Bawumia, the elected flag bearer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) ahead of the 2024 elections, will be able to pull massive votes in next year’s election.
During his time as the Vice president of Ghana, and still the vice president, he has helped the incumbent President Nana Addo to achieve more.
Here, in this context, I have stated two reasons why the New Patriotic Party (NPP) led by Dr. Bawumia will break the 8 as they say.
1. Implementing of the Free SHS Policy
This is one of the best and biggest government policy of all time. This policy has helped over a million students to attend Senior high school for free.
This policy has helped the poor in society and even the well-off to attend Senior high school for free. Since this government was elected into power in 2016, Junior High school graduates have been attending free senior high school from 2017 to date.
In the last 7 years, this policy has helped millions and will continue to. In 2017, compared to the previous years, enrolment of students to the senior high schools increased by 11%.
With this amazing and outstanding policy, there is no doubt that the government will amass numerous votes from these students and those who benefited and graduated from this policy.
2. School Feeding Programme
The NPP government led by former president John Agyekum Kuffour launched the school feeding programme in 2015. The ideal goal of this initiative is to present a top-notch and decentralized care for disadvantage children.
This initiate has helped feed over a million basic school students in 5,530 public schools in 216 districts.
Although some of you may disagree with on this, but just these two initiative in the education sector will help the NPP break the eight and win the 2024 elections. A surprise, pulling off votes from Dr. Bawumia is the icing on the cake.
