The Voice of Legon , a communication organ of the SRC has called on all the University of Ghana’s new freshmen to avoid mistakes while processing their admissions.
What freshers of the University of Ghana are doing wrongly plus accommodation issues
Apart from advising students who have been admitted NOT to share their student number and PIN with anyone, It also indicated that the information (OIN and ID) was confidential.
Students have also been called upon not to print and post their acceptance letters to the university. Instead, students are to print their provisional admission letter and follow the instructions outlined on the printout.
Students are also to note that accommodation on campus is not guaranteed with the offer of admission and that the University has limited residential facilities for students.

The printing and mailing of admission details to the University of Ghana or any of its offices is an old-fashioned approach to registering students, which does not work any longer at the University of Ghana.

The V furthered that the University of Ghana is an institution that is far advanced and uses top-notch digitalization and technology which makes it possible for students to complete admissions without following the practices of the old system in other top universities.
In a related development, the new reopening date for Freshers is Friday, 12th January 2024.
