SHS 1 Student Of Aburi Girls Dies

A heartbreaking incident has struck Aburi Girls Senior High School in the Eastern Region, as a first-year boarding student tragically passed away. The student, who had been experiencing severe stomach pains, sadly succumbed on Monday, February 5, 2024.

Reports from within the school suggest that the student had sought medical assistance but was allegedly denied attention by the school nurse. Shockingly, it’s claimed that the nurse accused her of feigning illness repeatedly. By the time efforts were made to rush her to the hospital, it was too late, and she had already passed away.

The deceased student’s body has been transferred to the Tetteh Quarshie Memorial Hospital, where it awaits autopsy procedures. Her family, residing abroad, has been notified of the tragic incident and has since arrived in Ghana to deal with the situation.

In response to this tragic event, the police, in collaboration with the school management, have initiated a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the student’s untimely death.
