Second Batch Refund of Teachers Laptops TM1 Over Deductions

In a recent update by the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), it has been disclosed that additional reimbursements for teachers laptops Deductions TM1 have been initiated. The refunds, amounting to GHC 45.55, began in February 2024, with the remaining payments set for March 2024.

This progress stems from thorough deliberations and advocacy during GNAT’s NEC meetings, showcasing the union’s dedicated efforts on behalf of educators.

Regarding the distribution of TM1 teachers laptops, it was noted that the deployment started with Senior High Schools, followed by Junior High Schools, and then Primary and Kindergarten levels.

Nevertheless, despite advancements, some teachers at the Senior and Junior High levels are still awaiting their laptops.

Furthermore, a considerable number of teachers at the Primary and Kindergarten levels are yet to receive their devices, leading to continued pressure on the union for a resolution.

Issues with Faulty TM1 teachers laptops and Refunds

Furthermore, there have been reports of problems with the laptops received by certain teachers, including damages or malfunctions. As a result, there is a growing demand for full refunds due to concerns about the devices’ durability.
