As part of efforts towards improving learning outcomes and reducing learning poverty in Ghana, the Ministry of Education (MoE) announced that national standardized test for basic 4 students in Ghana.
Ghana’s Basic 4 2021 national standardized test date
The Minister for Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum has announced that Ghana’s first 2021 national standardized test will be taken in November 2021.
The test is to determine the learning gap and help take drastic measures to reduce it.
“The test is to evaluate the primary 4 students on whether they can read or not and this will also help the government to see the challenges that are confronting the country’s education sector,” the Education Minister stated.
The Education Minister made the November 2021 date known in an interview and added that sample standardized questions will be made available to all schools ahead of the commencement of the examination.
The November 2021 national standardized test date will be fully made public in the coming months.
Education Minister Dr. Adutwum furthered that when the mathematics and literacy tests are carried out, the results will be made public online for the Ghanaian public to access. This will permit all parents to monitor the progress of their wards.

“We have a dashboard coming that will allow the Education Minister to log in and see the attendance of every district, to see how every district is doing and the results will be on the dashboard,” the Bosomtwe MP stated.
