Thursday 11th April Declared Public Eid-ul-Fitr Holiday

This declaration underscores the significance of Eidul-Fitr, marking the end of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting and spiritual reflection for Muslims worldwide.

Eidul-Fitr, often referred to as the “Festival of Breaking the Fast,” holds immense cultural and religious importance for Muslims across the globe. It is a joyous occasion celebrated with prayers, feasting, and acts of charity. Families come together to partake in communal prayers held in mosques or open spaces, followed by elaborate meals shared with loved ones.

The significance of Eidul-Fitr extends beyond religious observance, embodying values of compassion, gratitude, and unity. It serves as a time for Muslims to express gratitude for the strength and perseverance shown during the month of Ramadan, as well as to seek forgiveness and reconciliation with others.

Traditionally, Eidul-Fitr celebrations include the exchange of gifts, especially among children, as well as visiting friends and relatives to share in the festive spirit. In many communities, charitable acts are also emphasized during this time, with individuals donating food, money, or clothing to those in need, ensuring that everyone can partake in the joyous festivities.
