The Qalaa Holdings Scholarship for 2024 is now accepting applications! As of 2024, QHSF will no longer fund full Master’s degrees in the domains of biosciences, medicine, or pharmacy.
The mode of study must be full-time, on-campus, beginning in the fall intake (online degrees are not eligible).
PhD degrees are not funded by QHSF. The evaluating committee makes this decision after considering the applicant’s financial situation and the quality of the application. Case-by-case decisions are made. Students who have started their programs are not eligible for funding from QHSF.
The QHSF does not have a favored list or advise scholars on where to pursue their studies. This is primarily due to the fact that QHSF is not a specialized scholarship and is available to support students in all academic fields. Additionally, QHSF anticipates that its applicants will possess a solid foundation in the field they wish to pursue further.
In order to select the most highly regarded programs that best suit their needs and interests, QHSF encourages applicants to thoroughly investigate the various programs offered in their field of interest. Following submission of an application, QHSF reviews a wide range of sources to evaluate the caliber of the chosen program; in the end, this caliber of the program is a key factor in selecting which applications to shortlist.
Eligibility
- The applicant needs to be under 35 years old.
- Must be a resident of Egypt and a national of Egypt.
- After graduating, the applicant must have at least two years of work experience.
- Intends to continue their education in their field of choice at one of the best universities overseas.
- Must have been admitted to the desired university and program.
- The application must include a letter of unconditional acceptance (barring a funding requirement).
- Outstanding command of the study language.
- Strong proficiency in the English language.
- Participation in NGOs, volunteer work, or other civic, public, or international affairs will be advantageous.
- Must actually be in need of money.
- Not receiving any other grants or partial scholarships
