Why International Students Get Deported From Canada

1. Violating Visa Conditions

Number one on the list is the violation of visa conditions. Every student visa comes with its terms and conditions. Violating just one condition may get you deported.

You need to meet all the conditions. If you don’t meet these conditions, you may lose your student status and study permit. You may also have to leave Canada. Some may include: change of school without following the appropriate steps. Authorities know you are in School A, but you changed it to school B, without alerting them.

2. Incomplete or Fraudulent Document

Another reason students get deported is because of fake documents. Before you get a visa as an international student, you surely need to pass through the Canadian embassy of your country. Sometimes, you may be given a greenlight even though your documents may be fake (unknownly to them). However, if you eventually gets your visa, you will surely be caught as the university you applied will once again work with the Embassy to do another investigations on your documents. You will surely be caught and be deported. Sometimes, you may face jail term.

3. Poor academic performance.

Just like other schools around the world, performing poorly in school will get you repeated. At the Tertiary level, you will be sacked. If you are an international student, you will be sacked and deported. So try as much as possible to give your very best in school.

4. Working more hours than you should.

Usually, students visas come with work permit. Sometimes, international students are allowed to work 12 hours or 20 hours a week. If you work above this duration, you will sanctioned, or deported. You simply needs to follow the rules.

5. Failing to renew study permit.

Every visa comes with an expiring date. Sometimes you may get 2 years student visa for your second degree. However, due to some circumstances, you may need another year to make it three years or more. In this case, you have to apply for a renewal of visa. Failure to do this will get you deported back to your country.

6. Engaging in illegal activities

You mission as an international student is to study, have fun and work within the given hours. Engaging in Illegal activities will get you arrested. You will be deported immediately. You may also be banned from entering Canada for over 10 years or for life

7. Failing to maintain sufficient funds for your stay.

You cannot get a student visa without proving to the embassy that you have sufficient funds and regular source of income that can cater for you stay in Canada and also pay for your tuition and bills. Once you prove to the embassy, you will get your visa. However, if you fail to maintain such funds in the duration set, and you go broke, you will be deported. In some cases, if person who is supposed to pay for your tuition fails to pay it in one academic year, you will be deported.
