Ahead of the 2024 general election on December 7th, the flagbearer of the NDC and former president of Ghana, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, has built and inaugurated a new maternity ward for the Atebubu Hospital, which was constructed with his resources.

Mahama builds maternity facility for Atebubu
The newly constructed maternity ward at the Atebubu Hospital was financed solely by John Dramani Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). The facility is also equipped with world-class equipment and other health items needed, such as incubators, ultrasound scan machines, surgical and delivery beds, and other advanced equipment. These health equiments are expected to be used to improve maternal health and delivery for women in the area.
Mr. Mahama stated that the construction of the Nana Owusu Akyeaw Brempong II Maternity Ward is a direct response to a request made by the chief of Atebubu.
He further emphasized that the new facility would guarantee accessible healthcare services to mothers and newborns in the area.
The new facility is equipped to provide maternal and neonatal services, deliveries, and postnatal support.
