Admission applications for UG and KNUST ends Today

The general public is hereby informed that admission for UG and KNUST ends today for all WASSCE holders and others who are applying for admission into undergraduate programmes.

The two top universities disclosed prior to the release of the 2023 WASSCE for school candidates that they would close their admission portals by the end of the day on December 22, 2023.
The admissions boards of the two universities are expected to complete the admissions of candidates who meet both the initial and predetermined cut-off points in the first week of January 2024.
Succession applicants are expected to be in school before the end of January 2024 to start their first 100 courses in the respective programmes they gain admission into.
The announcement of admission will be done via SMS and email; however, applicants are required to speed up the application process and ensure they submit their application online before the end of today to avoid disappointment.

Candidates who started their application process prior to the release of the results are required to ensure they correct their name arrangement, date of birth, and other critical data. Again, candidates are advised to make changes to their programmes of preference so that their choices meet the basic requirements and cut-off points for the programmes they want to be considered for.

The KNUST has warned applicants to be cautious not to fall for scams from people posing as admission board members. It furthered the idea that anyone who does business with scammers does so at their own peril.

The two universities have published their cut-off points for all programmes and expect that applicants will use them to make informed choices, which will increase their chances of being admitted into the programmes of their choice. However, the final decisions will be based on the competitiveness of other applicants seeking to study the same programmes.
