Black Stars Team Name Should Be Changed To “Bright Stars” – Prophet Prince Elisha Tells Government

The founder and leader of Grace Family Church International, Prophet Prince Elisha Osei Kofi has made it clear that the current name or title of the senior national team should be changed.

He added that the name “Black Stars of Ghana” should be changed to “Bright Stars of Ghana”.
Explaining his reason, Prince Elisha revealed that the colour black seems to have a bad omen on the team. He stated that the name of the team always affects the team negatively in most matches and tournaments they play in.

“We should stop the use of Black Stars and start using Ghana Bright Stars. We must use the Bright Star of Ghana. We are the Bright star of Africa. Our star must bright.”

“Since you came on earth, has the colour black done something good for you. There is nothing like a black star. They are always Bright. Our problem as a nation is very deep. Everyone is afraid to handle them” he said this in an interview on Onua FM.

This follows an early exit of the Black Stars in the 2022 FIFA World Cup which was held in Qatar. The team lost to Uruguay. The team only needed a draw or a win to secure their place in the Round of 16.

Prophet Prince Elisha Osei Kofi believes that the name of the team is a factor to their defeat in every tournament the team partakes.
