After calling for the finance minister’s resignation, Parliament’s Minority and Majority appear to agree.
The Minority has petitioned to dismiss Ken Ofori-Atta, while the Majority has threatened to boycott the 2023 budget.
After the government sought IMF help due to concerns about the economy’s mismanagement, MPs voiced their opinions.

The minority told the parliamentary press corps to keep calling out the finance minister.
“As representatives of the people and as duty bearers, we must bring a resolution to call for the termination of the Finance Minister,” said Ahmed Ibrahim, the Deputy Minority Chief Whip.
Our Majority of brothers agree. They should support the Minority Leader’s proposal to fire the Finance Minister.
