The Human Resource Department at the Ghana Revenue Authority has once again showed it’s commitment in serving staff and also management of GRA. In a memo released on 8th December, 2022, and signed by Akua Mpiani-Brobbe, she made it clear that all staff at the GRA are expected to receive a Christmas package worth ¢2,600.
Employees or staff are expected to make a preferred choice between two options. All packages are worth ¢2,600.
“The Human Resource Department is conducting a survey to ascertain the preferred option of staff for the end of year package. This is in line with Management’s quest to allow every staff to make a choice of preference.
“Kindly note that the choice once made through the survey will be the option available to you” the letter states.
The core mandate of GRA is to ensure maximum compliance with all relevant tax laws in order to ensure a sustainable revenue stream for government, trade facilitation and a controlled and safe flow of goods across the country’s borders. They also administer a number of international agreements that govern our relations with other tax jurisdictions and institutions such as World Customs Organisation Protocols, World Trade Organisation Protocols, Double Taxation and Exchange of Information Agreements. Such work has been done by both senior staff and junior staff and it’s time to receive their end of year package. This will is targeted at motivating them to do more next year.
