Brother of Lois Reveals Why There was a Month Delay Before Announcing Sister’s Death

George Boateng, brother of the late Lois Abena Koranteng, the 24-year-old graduate of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) who was found dead in a pool earlier in June, has revealed the reason for delay in announcing Lois’ death to the public.
Reason for the Delay in announcing Lois’ Death to the Public
Earlier this month, George broke the news on Facebook that her sister was found in a pool at a hotel in Takoradi while on a business trip with her boss and their driver. He disclosed that she was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital and the issue was reported to the police. The hotel claimed claimed their cctv cameras were damaged and could not provide footage of what really happened.
Causing an uproar on social media, the hotel received heavy backlash from netizens and some suggesting there is something fishy going on. Others also stand by the fact that the manager must be arrested and questioned.
Adom FM invited George on their morning show, Dwaso Nsem and interviewed him about the chain of events. George conveyed his disappointment over the pace at which the Police conducted investigations into the tragic incident.
Following her death, the family took to social media to announce their frustration about failure of the Police to make any arrests.
According to George, the Police autopsy report conducted at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital has been concealed from the family.
“The Police claim they are holding the report to assist in their investigations,” he said.
Appealing to the Police to make the investigation faster, George said his sister’s case had been sidelined.
“This process has been delayed, we waited because the hotel people were playing with us. The hotel management never took us seriously.”
He added that the hotel informed them the CCTV was faulty so they couldn’t any footage to aid investigations.
