Captain Smart “Sacks” Ras Mubarak On Live TV After Short Argument
There was a bit of drama in the studios of Onua TV when Captain Smart, host of Electiion Command Center on Onua TV/FM sacked Ras Mubarak, former Member of Parliament for Kumbugu, from the show after nearly two minutes of a verbal altercation.
A video of the incident making rounds on social media captures Ras Mubarak complaining to Captain Smart over what he deemed to be noise and interference from a makeup artist in the studio.
Ras Mubarak sought to bring Captain Smart’s attention to what he estimated to be snide remarks from the lady in question expecting that she will be silenced to allow him make his point.
Interestingly, however, Captain Smart objected to Ras Mubarak’s call, questioning why he will pay attention to the staff instead of focusing on the show.
Ras Mubarak clarified that the said negative comments from the lady were putting him off balance and affecting his flow of thought.
Captain Smart, instead slammed Ras Mubarak for not ‘respecting’ the seat he occupied. According to Captain Smart, if Ras Mubarak respected the program, he would have ignored the lady’s remark and continued with his submission.
Dismayed by Captain Smart’s angry posture, Ras Mubarak then threatened to walk off the show and insisted something be done about the lady’s conduct.
His threat to walk off the show infuriated Captain Smart more as the host yelled at him and questioned why he was still in the seat if he was unhappy with the attitude of the lady.
The exchanges continued and Captain Smart eventually ordered Ras Mubarak to leave the set and called for a break.
After the break, Captain Smart complained again about the issue and explain the reason he sacked the former MP. According to him, Ras Mubarak disrespected his quests in the studio.
“You don’t come here and you will disrespect my colleagues and I will just watch you throw your tantrums and you will go like that. Who the hell are you. Atta Mills said when you go for war, take people with much intelligence to speak for you” he said

The whole Election Command Center Programme is targeted at the upcoming National delegates conference which is set to elect new executives for the NDC.
Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, current chairman of the party was in the studios of Onua TV to campaign to the NDC delegates. He gave them reasons to vote for him as the Chairman.
Samuel Ofosu Ampofo said he is not contesting for the Chairmanship of the party but rather seeking re-election.
According to him, he is not a contestant as far as he is the incumbent but rather seeking to be re-elected.
Many have questioned why the longest serving General Secretary of the party and Chairman are vying for same portfolio in the party whilst both have served well their respective roles.
The contest has brought a scuffle between Johnson Asiedu Nketia, the General Secretary and Chairman, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, with the former releasing an audio to indict the commitment of the latter for the party.
He has accused him for sending the 2020 election to court without having evidence for the party.
When asked why the duo are contesting themselves for same position, he said he is the Chair and is seeking re-election whilst Asiedu Nketia is contesting him.

He added that he as well as the party elders is not happy things have to get where they are after series of advice flew from the file and rank of the party for Asiedu Nketia to bow out of the chairmanship race but to no avail.
“I cannot tell how we got here because I still work closely with him. We always talk maybe recently because of the campaign which I’ve been working intensely for three weeks.
“We are not contesting each other. I’ve decided to go for re-election and he has decided to go and contest. So I’m not contesting because I am already the Chairman seeking to be reelected. He is rather contesting.
“I’m not sure the party leadership is happy about the situation. I myself I’m not happy for the party,” he revealed
