The Ghana National Council of Private Schools has called on all members (Teachers and school owners) not to attend the Training for Common Core Programme meant for Public Schools which takes places between 4th and 11th January 2021.
According to the leadership of GNACOPS it is in consultation with (NaCCA) to organize a training session for its members (Master Trainers) who will intend to train private school teachers.
In a letter from GNACOPS copied to GhanaEducation.Org, it disclosed that 308 selected persons from all private school associations have been submitted to the National Council for Curriculum And Assessment (NaCCA) to enable private schools successfully implement the Common Core Programme (CCP) for private schools.
It further disclosed that the training for private schools will be held by the end of January 2021.
The Common Core Programme (CCP) is a new curriculum developed for JHS1 – SHS1 students in Ghana. To ensure the effective implementation of the new curriculum, teachers and headteachers who teach in the JHS to SHS1 are undergoing training to equip them with the relevant skills for the smooth take-off of the new curriculum implementation in schools across Ghana.
