Check Out The Total Number Of Students To Sit For The 2023 BECE
The number of candidates to sit for the 2023 Basic Education Certificate Examinations(BECE) has been revealed. This year’s BECE will be written starting from Monday, 7th August, 2023. The last paper will be written on Friday, 11th August, 2023.
Over 500,000 candidates will sit for the 2023 BECE based on the statistics from the previous years. In 2022, a total of 552,276 sat for the examination. This number was a reduction as compared to the 2021 examination year.
Below is the full statistics for the 2022 BECE. This statistics is likely to be similar to the 2023 BECE.

- Both Papers (2 & 1) for each Subject are to be taken at one sitting without break.
- DIFFERENCE IN TIME ON QUESTION PAPER AND TIMETABLE
Where the duration indicated on the question paper differs from what is on the timetable, the one on the question paper should be followed.
- EXTRA TIME FOR CANDIDATES WITH VISUAL AND HEARING IMPAIRMENT
Candidates with visual and hearing impairments are to be allowed an additional 50% of the time allotted to other candidates.
