Computerized School Selection & Placement Portal Opens for 2022 SHS entries by Private and Public BECE candidates.
The Ghana Education Service has opened the Computerized School Selection and Placement Portal (CSSPS) for Private BECE and Schools candidates to enable them to select their schools online ahead of the 2022 school placement.
In a letter to all Regional Directors of Education dates 15th December 2021 copied to Ghanaeducation.org, the GES indicated that the exercise starts on 20th December 2021 and ends on 2nd January 2022.
The GES added that teams of IT teachers /Data Entry Officers from the Metro/Municipal/ District Directors of education will provide support to Examination Coordinators in the making of entries of candidates’ choices to help avoid errors during data entry.
The entries made will assist the Free SHS secretariat in the use of the Computerized School Selection and Placement Portal to place candidates in schools that match their performance when the 2021 BECE results and school placements are out in 2022.
The 2021 BECE candidates who sat for the school and private BECE are expected to return to school to commence their secondary education under the government’s Free SHS policy latest March 2022.

When will the 2022 school placements be released?
It is projected that the 2022 school placements will be released in late February or early March 2021. Once it is released, students will be able to use the school placement checker to access the results. Candidates are to note that, the School placement checker is not the same as the result checker.
When will SHS 1 or BECE 2021 Candidates go to school?
Should the results be released in February or early March 2021, BECE candidates are likely to report to school in March 2021 however, SHS2 and SHS3 students will report to school ahead of their juniors (SHS1).
