Dare me! – Kennedy Agyapong threatens to post evidence of executives who took bribe to vote
Kennedy Agyapong, a flagbearer hopeful for the NPP has issued a strong warning, threatening to expose individuals whom he alleges accepted bribes during the NPP super delegates’ elections in August 2023.
During an interview on Radio Tamale over the weekend, Agyapong claimed that several party executives, including chairpersons, had agreed to vote in exchange for substantial sums of money and brand-new vehicles.
According to his allegations, some party leaders received as much as GH¢100,000 and brand-new pickup trucks in return for their votes. Agyapong went further to claim that he possessed photographic evidence of these transactions and was ready to share it on social media if challenged.
“The super delegates’ election had about 945 eligible voters. Some of the executives received up to GH¢100,000, which is equivalent to 1 billion old cedis, and some were given Navara pickups. I have the pictures right here, and if they dare me, I will post them on social media for everyone to see… they took brand-new Navara pickups, similar to the Mitsubishi pickup I presented to Yaa-Naa, which is valued at $40,000,” Agyapong stated.
He urged delegates participating in the upcoming November 4 vote to demand similar amounts or to withhold their votes from candidates who participated in these alleged transactions.

Agyapong’s message was clear: “So, $40,000 multiplied by 11 is $440,000. In the Ashanti region, some received as much as GH¢150,000. Furthermore, some chairpersons received Toyota Land Cruiser Prado vehicles, so why shouldn’t he win? This time, I am advising all delegates and polling station executives to demand at least GH¢100,000. If not, do not vote for them because I, Kennedy Agyapong, with a loud mouth sitting here, have one vote, and the polling station executives have one vote, your chairman has one vote, everybody has one vote.”
Kennedy Agyapong will be competing for the flagbearer position alongside three other contenders: Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, and Francis Addai-Nimoh.
The NPP has scheduled November 4, 2023, as the date to elect a successor to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as the leader of the party. The upcoming flagbearer election promises to be a crucial turning point in the NPP’s internal politics.
