Medical school begins at senior secondary school. Doctors must take science. If you fit this, you study medicine in university.
You have life science core credits. Math, English, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. These allow you to study medicine at any Ghanaian university.
To get in, you must ace their entrance examinations.
You get a Bachelor of Medicine after six years of intense academic coursework. After that, you begin residency training and horsemanship and district rotation. The Ministry of Health requires this for a year to practice medicine.
Obtaining a Ministry of Health license completes the doctorate process. Foreign-trained doctors must pass specific tests to practice medicine in Ghana.
