Don’t let anyone belittle your 2023 WASSCE results –Bawumia
Don’t let anyone belittle your 2023 WASSCE results. This is the latest advice from Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to WASSCE graduates.
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has urged 2023 WASSCE graduates not to let those who are trying to minimise and disparage their exam success demotivate them.
The cumulative record of the 2023 WASSCE group, who are the 4th batch of graduates of the Free SHS policy, has been described as the best in recent times, with the majority of the students who participated in the exams passing so well with As.

While many people are praising the students’ success, former President John Mahama has downplayed it by alleging that the students colluded with the teachers to cheat on the exams, which is false. As a result, teachers and supervisors were the same, teaching and supervising the students, which led to these positive results.
While congratulating the students, Dr. Bawumia made an apparent reference to former President Mahama’s remark and urged them not to let such remarks demotivate them.

The Vice President also congratulated parents and teachers for their roles in the excellent performances of their wards in the 2023 WASSCE.
According to Dr. Bawumia’s comment on social media platforms, these 2023 WASSCE RESULTS cannot be considered to be the product of students’ intelligence. EduWatch has raised the same remarks, not only from the former president, but it has been a concern for many. Just because we should not just praise the results but also the effectiveness of the rules and regulations of exams across the country, has it been considered? What is the effect of this? Are we building this nation? If it’s true that education is the key, I rest my case.
