Dressing Room Video Of How Christian Atsu Celebrated His Last-Ever Goal Pops Online(Watch)
Christian Atsu’s celebration after his late winning freekick goal secured Hatayspor a crucial 1-0 win over Kasimpasa has started making waves on the internet.
According to report, the goal did not only handed the team a win but moved the club from the relegation bottom and also meant under-fire manager Volkan Demirel would have some breath of fresh air.
The celebration began on the field as Atsu was carried by his teammates with Demirel joining the celebration.
They continued the celebrations in the dressing room where the players chanted Atsu’s name while he danced to the chants.
Christian Atsu was due to fly to England on the night but cancelled the trip to enjoy the win.
Unfortunately, a high-magnitude earthquake struck in Hatay, Turkey on February 6, 2023, which led to Atsu being trapped in his destroyed apartment for over a week.
His body was discovered lifeless on February 18 and was added to the death toll of over 40,000 after the earthquake.
Following the demise of Ghanaian Footballer, Christian Atsu, several Ghanaians have shared some one or two memories of how Christian Atsu supported their lives. ‘He was a good man’ is the phrase most Ghanaians used to describe him.
Mortal Remains Of Christian Atsu Arrives In Ghana.
The first sight of Atsu’s coffin showed six soldiers carrying the remains draped in the national colours of red, gold, green with the Black Star.
They marched from the plan and placed the coffin on a holder, following which prayers were said by two priests and an Imam.
Speeches were subsequently delivered by the head of the Tswasam family, the GFA’s Secretary General, Prosper Harrison-Addo and the Vice President.
According to reports, the body after being formally received was taken to the 37 Military Hospital.
The family is in full attendance as there are football fans in their numbers. GhanaWeb’s correspondent on the ground also confirmed a heavy security presence at the airport.
