Drunkards in Ghana threaten to stop drinking over worsening economic situation
Drunkards in Ghana threaten to stop drinking over the worsening economic situation. Ghana’s economy is worsening under Nana Akufo Addo and the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Drunkards have said they will stop their favorite hobby if nothing is done to stop the prices of everything, including alcohol, from going up so much.
The group’s association says that the drop in the value of the Ghanaian cedi compared to the US dollar has greatly affected how much they like to drink.
Moses Onyah (Dry Bone), the president of the Ghana Drunkards Association, told Kasapa News that in the past, they could get drunk after spending only Ghc5 on “akpeteshie,” but that the recent price increase means they now have to spend at least GHc15 to get drunk.

Moses Dry Bone says that there are a lot of people in the group, and if they stopped buying from them, it would have a big effect on the beverage business.
He asked the government to protect the industry because thousands of people would stop doing business if nothing was done.
