Ghana Education News| Easy steps to register your SIM card with Ghana Card
The new sim registration starts on 1st October 2021. Follow the easy steps provided here to register your SIM card with Ghana Card to avoid losing your SIM number.
The registration is in two phases.
Phase 1 has 10 steps you must follow to register your SIM.
To link the Sim Card to the Ghana Card via the USSD
Step 1: Dial *404# on your mobile device
Step 2: Enter your Ghana Card pin which is an alphanumeric number starting with GHA. Enter the letters and numbers without the hyphens or dashes in between them.
STEP 3: Confirm your Ghana Card Pin number by re-entering the number.
STEP 4: Now type or enter your Surname
STEP 5: Enter your First names on the card
STEP 6: Enter your date of birth in the other of Day, month, and year.
STEP 7: Choose your correct gender thus male or female
STEP 8: Confirm your details
STEP 9: if every detail is accurate, submit the details you have provided after you have confirmed it is accurate.
Step 10: You will receive a message indicating you have been successful. You will receive a unique code as proof of success.
However, if you entered the wrong details, you have three chances or attempts to make the necessary corrections by answering a security question accurately. In case your registration was unsuccessful because of verification failure at the National Identification Authority (NIA), you will receive a notification to contact the NIA for their assistance.

Phase 2 of the registration of the SIM with the Ghana Card requires that you visit the telecommunication service provider i.e MTN, VODAFONE, AITELTIGO, etc depending on which of the networks you use. The agent or customer care provider of the communication network will help you complete the registration.
