Achimota School Headmistress after a meeting with staff of the Ghana Education Service rejects GES directive to admit rasta students. According to the headmistress, she will not compromise on the code of conduct which states an individual with dread should not be admitted as a student.
Achimota School rejects GES Directive To Admit Rasta Students At High Level Meeting
The Monday meeting comes after the President of NAGRAT, Eric Angel Carbonu condemned the GES for its order for the Motown Management to admit the two dreadlocked students it denied admission last Friday.

According to StarrFM report sighted by EducationWeb, the Achimota School Headmistress has stated the school will only accept the dreadlocked students on the condition that they cut their dread just like other students.
“Is either the parents compromise on their religious beliefs and allow their children to take off the deadlocks or students will be denied admission to the school,” the Headmistress of Motown told representatives at the meeting.
Meanwhile, Ghana’s Education Service (GES) in an earlier statement copied to Educationweb.com.gh has directed for the school to compromise on its code of conduct and admit the two Rastafarians as students of Motown.
