El Classico: Jules Kounde To Start For Barcelona On Saturday
Inter Milan held Barcelona to a 3-3 draw this week, even though they were missing one of their best defenders, Jules Kounde. This may have serious financial consequences and lead to the club’s elimination from the group stages of the UEFA Champions League.
But there is good news for Barça: Kounde is making progress in his recovery and is likely to start this weekend’s game against Real Madrid.
The French player got hurt during the international break. This summer, he moved from Sevilla to Barcelona for a lot of money. Since then, he has missed many important games, including both legs of the match against Inter Milan.

Kounde isn’t the only Barcelona defender who is out with an injury. Andreas Christensen and Ronald Araujo are also out. Gerard Piqué and Eric Garcia have mostly filled in for them while they were away.
But because of how badly they played against Inter Milan, Barça is ready to speed up Kounde’s return, especially since they have another important game against Real Madrid coming up soon.
RAC1 said this, which suggests that the former Sevilla starlet is currently training with the group with the plan to start against Los Blancos.
Barcelona thinks that having him in the middle of the defense could help them defend against Real Madrid. They know it will be hard to stop Karim Benzema, Vinicius Junior, and the rest of the team.
Kounde’s speed, along with his athleticism and technical skill, could give the Barcelona defense something new. But since the young defender has been out with an injury, it will be interesting to see if he can handle the pressure.
