Fair Wages and Salaries Commission invites teacher unions to crunch meeting
The Fair Wages and Salaries Commission has invited teacher unions to a crunch meeting scheduled for Tuesday, 12th July 2022. The meeting has been necessitated by the striking unions’ demand for a Cost of Living Allowance. The Pre-Tertiary education unions mounted pressure on the government, followed by industrial action on 4th July.
Calls from the government for unions to call off the strike and come to the negotiating table have not been heeded by the unions. To help deal with the challenges the strike poses, the government has invited the leadership of the union to a meeting on July 12.
Below is the full letter from the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission
