In a related development, the Ghana Education Service has directed all SHS3 students not to report to school on the 7th of April but rather on the 5th of May 2021.
The late change in reopening date for SHS3 students has been greeted with dissatisfaction since they have a few months to write their WASSCE.
According to the GES, the decision was to ensure the students had enough contact hours when they return to school. Per the new directive. Once the students report o school, they will remain in school till they write the 2021 WASSCE for school candidates scheduled for September and October 2021.
Per the new development, the Easter Break For SHS 3 students has been extended to May 4th. However, the faith of SHS2 Green track students is not known since they are also at home.
Stakeholders wait for the GES’ next line of action to know when SHS2 Green track students will be going back to school.
