GES announces mid-term break for basic schools from Oct 31 to Nov 3
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced that both basic school students and staff will take a mid-term break from Friday, October 31, 2025, to Monday, November 3, 2025.
In a social media post sighted by GhanaEducation.org, the Ghana Education Service (GES) said the weekend mid-term break is to enable basic school students and staff to rest, refresh and re-energise.
“Basic Schools will, for the first time, observe a mid-term break on Friday, 31st October and Monday, 3rd November, as already captured on the academic calendar.
There will be no school sessions for both staff and students on these days. They’re to take these holidays to rest, refresh, and re-energise for the remaining part of the term,” GES stated in the social media post.
According to the Daily Graphic, the mid-term holiday applies to all public and private basic schools operating under the Ghana Education Service (GES).
