GES Interdicts Headmistress Of West Africa SHS Over Illegal Fees
The Ghana Education Service(GES) has interdicted Dr. Mrs. Shine Agatha Ofori, headmistress of West Africa SHS for unauthorized collection of money from students.
In a letter signed by the head of public relations Unit at the Ghana Education Service, Cassandra Twum Ampofoh, stated that the headmistress should hand over the administration of the school to the Regional Director of Education pending final determination of the case by the regional disciplinary committee.
Management of GES has interdicted Dr. Mrs. Shine Agatha Ofori, Headmistress of West Africa SHS, for unauthorized collection of money from students.

Dr. Mrs. Shine Agatha Ofori, from Osu Presbyterian Senior High School took over from Madam Georgina Attopley as the new Headmistress of WASS. She was also the Headmistress of Odorgonno Senior High School.
The interdiction of Dr. Mrs. Shine Agatha Ofori comes at a time when the government is making efforts to improve access to education for all Ghanaians, and eliminate all forms of barriers to education. Investigations into this matter is currently ongoing.

West Africa Senior High School (WASS) is a second-cycle institution located at Adenta in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. The school is a government assisted, mixed day and non-denominational institution providing a three-year senior high school education. The school was founded in 1946 by Rev. J. C. Tettey and Emmanuel Addo.

This is really true
I am student of WASS and I have experienced all this issue in the school. We paid for teacher motivation, exams even the chairs that we are sitting on and because the school is not having boarding that’s why most of the students performance is very poor sometimes, I reaches school around 9:30am due to traffic and the white uniform that we are using for school too because of trotro the time you will reach school then your school uniform will be dirty
So please we need help, we the serious students will be affected even some students are even smoking weed in the bush with any no authority. We really need a huge help, hope my message will reach you people thanks.
