GES, WAEC Fresh Updates On 2022 BECE results and Placement

The Ghana Education Service (GES)  and WAEC have released fresh updates on when the 2022 School Selection Portal will open,  when the Placement Exercise for BECE Candidates will start and the result release date.

The School Selection Portal would be opened by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) for both BECE 2022 Schools and Private Candidates to enable them to select their schools online for 2023 Placement.

Prospective BECE Candidates, parents/guardians, and the public are to take note of the following timelines on the School Selection guidelines

1. Showing of School Selection- Video to BECE candidates

24th October, 20222- 29th October, 2022

2. Selection of Schools by school Candidates/Parents/Guardian is from 31 October 2022 to 18th November 2022

3. School selection for Private BECE candidates will be done online by the individual parents or candidates on WAEC INTERNETSOLUTIONS.ORG

4. The BECE results per information available to Ghanaeducation.org will be released 75 days after the last paper was written.

5. School placements are expected to be released in the first quarter of 2023 to enable candidates to be enrolled in one of their selected schools. Where a candidate is not placed, he or she will have to take advantage of the self-placement window.

6. International students will be required to fill out a special form for consideration and will be required to write an exam to qualify for placement into any public Free SHS in the country, per information available to Ghanaeducation.org.
