How to speed your SSNIT, Ghana Card Numbers Merger Before June 30th Closing Date
The deadline for the SSNIT, Ghana-Card Numbers Merger has been extended by another 6th month from 31 st December 2021 to 30th June 2022. This offers all SSNIT contributors and pensioners who for some reason could not merge their two numbers.
Effective 1st July 2022, the Ghana Card will be the only identification ID recognized by the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT). Employers whose employers have not registered for the SSNIT and Ghana Card should be encouraged to do so and to merge the two numbers as required by law.
In this article, we make useful suggestions as to how such persons can speed up their SSNIT, Ghana-Card Numbers Merger, and be successful before 30th June 2022 without stress.
a. Set a day aside ahead of time to visit SSNIT or the NIA office if you have not received your card which has the number. If upon arrival at the NIA office, you are told the card is not ready, request for the unique PIN on the card to be written for you for the SSNIT, NIA numbers merger.
b. For those who have not registered for either the SSNIT biometric card or the NIA Ghana Card, go to the offices of the two institutions and register. Do not wait until a month to the closing date before you stress yourself.
c. For those who have registered and have both numbers but have not merged them, note that the merging is very simple and there is no need to wait any longer.
d. Newly employed graduates should go to SSNIT with their Ghana Card and appointment letters to get their biometric data captured onto the SSNIT database and merge the two numbers.
