Ghanaians love their football and footballers and this coupled with the religious nature of the West African country, Ghanaians continue to pray for a Christian Atsu Miracle in an earthquake that has claimed 17,000 lives and counting.
The belief that Christian Atsu, the Ghanaian International who plies his football trade in Turkey, will be found alive is intact in the minds of everyone at home and abroad.
The earlier report that the player had been rescued alive and taken to a health facility turned out to be false, as the clubs revealed that there was a mistaken identity.
It is almost 4 days and nothing concrete has been heard about Christian Atsu. However, the very religious nation of Ghana has not lost hope that the Former National Team player will be found alive. The faith of the people has not been weakened by the prolonged delay in hearing the good news everyone has been looking forward to.
The people have also called on the Ghanaian Government and the Sports Ministry to do something to help prioritize the search for Christian Atsu. He has been described as a national hero. Others are of the view that his, Club and Turkey as a country has not placed any priority on the young man who is a national asset of Ghana.
