GOOD NEWS: National Service Allowance Arrears Fully Paid
Management of Ghana National Service has released the arrears of some National Service personnel who were not paid in full or received no allowance for some months during the 2021/2022 service year.
During the 2021/2022 national service year, several personnel complained of not being paid for some months. Some had over three months arrears.
News coming in indicates that the personnel who had arrears with the Secretariat have been duly and fully paid. Such personnel can now visit any E-zwich vendor for their payment.
About National Service Monthly Evaluation Forms
The Ghana national service scheme under the ministry of finance is the body solely responsible for disbursing allowances to the National Service Personnel. Personnel is expected to download and fill the monthly evaluation form, fill it appropriately and submit it on time for prompt payment.

The national service evaluation form is available for download at the National Service Scheme (NSS) website. The NSS allowance payment is made to the bank accounts of personnel.
The NSS monthly assessment form is to be completed and submitted at the district office of the Ghana National Service Scheme by the 15th of every month. Failure to do so means that your allowance will be withheld. Also, a form not signed and stamped by the supervisor will be declared invalid.
How Much Is The National Service Allowance
National Service personnel currently earn GHc559 per month after it was increased from the previous year’s figure of GHc350.
The National Service Scheme is a one-year long program and personnel are expected to earn about GHc6,700 as allowance during this period. Plans are being made by the Secretariat to make government increase to the amount from 559.04 to either ¢700 or ¢1,000.
The 2022/2023 national service personnel are yet to receive their payment. Government currently owes them two months arrears(November and December).
