In collaboration with the British Council and the Great Britain Campaign, the University of Manchester is offering eight GREAT Scholarships for international students from Bangladesh, Ghana, Greece, Kenya, Mexico, and Nigeria for one-year master’s programs beginning in the academic year 2024-2025.
The GREAT Scholarships 2024 programme, launched by the British Council and 49 UK universities, helps postgraduate students gain access to world-class UK higher education opportunities.
The programme provides a minimum of £10,000 to students pursuing a one-year postgraduate programme in the United Kingdom. Students can apply for courses in a variety of subjects at the 49 institutions in England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
The International Office will email a scholarship application form to all relevant offer holders starting in mid-January 2024.

To be eligible for GREAT Scholarships for International Students at the University of Manchester, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Applicants must be international students.
- To be eligible for the University of Manchester GREAT Scholarship, applicants must have either a conditional or unconditional offer to study at the university.
- Applicants should hold passports from Bangladesh, Ghana, Greece, Kenya, Mexico, or Nigeria.
Scholarships are only awarded to applicants who have:
By April 26, 2024, applicants must have received a conditional or unconditional offer to study at The University of Manchester and submitted a scholarship application.
The International Office will send an email with the scholarship application form to all relevant offer holders.
Successful applicants will be notified by May 31, 2024, and must firmly accept an offer of a place by June 15, 2024, to confirm their scholarship.
