Mr. Israel Mawuli Afetorgbor, the headmaster of the Hatsukorpe No.1 Basic School in the Volta region’s Ketu South Municipality, was discovered dead.
At before 5:30 a.m. on Monday, March 7, 2022, the body of the almost 60-year-old headmaster was discovered hanging on a rope attached to a mango tree on the grounds of his house, an act that was ruled a suicide.
Victor Ayaku, Assemblyman for the Viepe-Tokor Electoral Area, confirmed the event, saying, “At approximately 5:30 a.m. on Monday, I received a call from one of my Unit Committee members who notified me about the occurrence.” I raced to the site and saw it was true, so I contacted the cops, who arrived to take the body away.”
