Headmaster allegedly commits suicide in V/R is the latest odd education news making rounds.

Mr. Israel Mawuli Afetorgbor, the headmaster of the Hatsukorpe No.1 Basic School in the Volta region’s Ketu South Municipality, was discovered dead.

At before 5:30 a.m. on Monday, March 7, 2022, the body of the almost 60-year-old headmaster was discovered hanging on a rope attached to a mango tree on the grounds of his house, an act that was ruled a suicide.

Victor Ayaku, Assemblyman for the Viepe-Tokor Electoral Area, confirmed the event, saying, “At approximately 5:30 a.m. on Monday, I received a call from one of my Unit Committee members who notified me about the occurrence.” I raced to the site and saw it was true, so I contacted the cops, who arrived to take the body away.”

The deceased’s body has subsequently been put to the Ketu South Municipal hospital mortuary for preservation while the investigation is ongoing.

According to some stories, the deceased had been irritable and acting strangely before to his death, a shift that the school’s employees had noticed.
