The Ghana Police has called for public support and effort in rescuing a child being abused in a video that has gone viral.
The Human Rights Reporters Ghana has waded into the unacceptable use of corporal punishment as a means of correcting a child who knows nothing.
The laws of Ghana frown upon the use of canes and any form of abusive approach used as a means for instilling discipline in children, let alone a child who is less than three years of age.
In a statement by the police sighted by Humanrightsreporters.com, the police indicated it is ready to award, GHS2000.00 to any informant who helps in rescuing the abused baby.
The statement by the Ghana Police said
“The Police have sighted a horrifying video on social media in which a male adult is seen subjecting an infant to severe beating under a tree.”

Efforts are underway to track down the individual involved, have him arrested, and rescue the child.
In view of the urgency associated with the matter, a reward of GH₵2,000.00 has been set aside for anyone who is able to provide credible information that could lead to the arrest of the individual and rescue of the child.”

In the horrifying video, a man is seen holding an innocent and helpless child with one hand and dishing out strong lashes to the feet, back, and buttocks of the baby.
The endless cry of the little kid is pain did not deter a barbaric adult from going on with his irresponsible parenting.
Although an onlooker seemed to advise the suspect to stop, he will have none of that as advice.
