Hon. Ablakwa’s Constituency Celebrates First Aerospace Engineer, Offers Masters Scholarship
Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Member of Parliament for the North Tongu Constituency, has celebrated the constituency’s first-ever Aerospace Engineer.
The success story of the brilliant Miss Alice Dziwornu was achieved at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) on Friday, 22nd November 2024.
Alice was part of the 2024 graduating class of the university, honored over the weekend after four years of study. The journey that culminated in this great success began with sponsorship from the North Tongu MP’s Scholarship Scheme, enabling her to pursue her dreams.
Reacting to Alice’s success story, Hon. Ablakwa expressed his delight at her achievement. “I am delighted my scholarship scheme has played a little part in her great story,” he stated in a Facebook post sighted by Ghana Education News.
She not only persevered in her quest for academic success in a male-dominated field but also emerged as one of the best in her discipline.
As part of his effort to help Alice reach her full potential, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has offered Miss Alice Dziwornu another full scholarship to cover her Master’s program. “I have offered another full scholarship for her masters,” he stated.
According to the Member of Parliament for the constituency, he hopes that Alice will one day work with big companies like Boeing in aerospace engineering. “Emerging tops in a male-dominated field, I have no doubt that Miss Dziwornu will achieve her ambition of working with Boeing and motivating girls in rural Ghana to embrace STEM,” he wrote as he celebrated the young lady for her academic success.
