How to check 2026 BECE results at Eresults.waecgh.org

The West African Examinations Council will release the 2026 BECE results on Monday, July 20th, 2026, for Junior High School graduates who sat for the 2026 BECE. In this post, we will show you how to check the BECE results at eresults.waecgh.org.

According to WAEC, both school and private students can check their provisional 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination results at the BECE results checking portal https://eresults.waecgh.org/

How to check 2026 BECE school and private results

1. Visit the BECE result checking portal

2. Enter your Index number

3. Re-enter the Index number to confirm if it’s correct

4. Select Exam type (Eg. BECE School or BECE Private)

5. Choose the Exam year (2026)

6. Enter your Serial number (Eg. 180000000001)

7. Enter PIN (Eg A1B2C3D4E5F9)

8. Tick the Captcha  to prove you are not a robot

9. Click on the submit button and wait for a new window to display your 2026 BECE result.

This brings the total number of candidates for the 2026 examination to 620,141, according to statistics made available by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) to the Daily Graphic.

The candidates are from 20,390 public and private schools. The examination will be held at 2,302 centres across the country.

Five schools from Togo and Benin participating in the examination will take the examination at one centre.

Per the regional breakdown, the Ashanti Region will again present the highest number of candidates of 124,095 (61,119 males and 62,976 females) from 3,277 schools who will sit the examination at 444 centres.

The Greater Accra Region, which has 114,243 candidates (54,713 males and 59,530 females) from 3,987 schools, will take the examination at 443 centres.

Following the release of the results, the school selection phase will follow from July 20th to August 7th, 2026, while students are expected to report to school for the start of the first semester of the 2026-2027 academic year from September 18th, 2026.
